Sony S- force pro front surround DAV-X1

Hi can anyone help here i have the above surround system, but i want to use the dvd player as a stand alone player without the sub woofer, speakers, i have connected it via the scart lead as there is no HDMI, all plays well but for some reason i have no sound, can someone please guide me on this matter as to wheher i need to purchase additional cables

    Hi,

     

    scart leads are fully wired for sound and since you can get the picture up on the screen i suspect the problem lies with the dvd player not outputting sound, re check the menu on the player and see hw the settings for sound are there, there is no need for additional cables.
