I have found that my SVR-HDT500 PVR can play my AVI video files but the display aspect ratio is only correct when the resolution of the video file exactly matches either a 4:3 or 16:9 display ratio . In other words a file with a resolution of 704 pixels x 384 pixels displays properly (i.e. full screen on my 16:9 display ratio EX403 Bravia TV) but a file with a resolution of 704 pixels x 304 pixels displays incorrecly. The unit stretches the picture vertically so that it fills the screen on my TV. Any body else having a similar problem?
