We found a problem in some SF-M Series SD Memory Cards, SF-M Series TOUGH Cards, and SF-G Series TOUGH Cards.
VSC mode data problem
When using a camera* compatible with VSC (Video Speed Class) mode, the recorded video on the card may be damaged or not recorded optimally.
* Cameras compatible with VSC mode with V60/V90.
We are implementing a free replacement program for the affected SD memory cards to resolve this issue.
Applicable to the following models
You can identify your card by the model number on the front of the card, as indicated by a red circle.
SF-M Series
Pay attention! Cards to which this applies can only be identified if you see 'V60', 'R:277 MB/s' and 'W:150 MB/s' on the front of the card.

- Check if the problem is for your card. SF-M Series cards can be identified by V60, R:277 MB/s and W:150 MB/s printed on the front of the card.
- Check the back of your card and see if there is an asterisk (*) in the lower left corner.
- If YES , this issue will not affect your card.
- If NO , this problem will affect your card.

SF-G Series TOUGH Cards
There are two ways to see if this issue applies to your card.
1. Check the back of your card and see if there is an asterisk (*) in the lower left corner.
a. If YES , this issue will not affect your card.
b. If NO , go to the next step .
2. Check the back of your card and see if the alphanumeric code starts with TV or TR.
a. If the alphanumeric code starts with TR , your card is not affected by this problem.
b. If the alphanumeric code starts with TV , your card is affected by this problem.

From June 18, 2020 to March 31, 2024, we will be offering free replacements for the affected SD memory cards.
You can request an SD card exchange using this form .
IMPORTANT: We cannot transfer the contents of the affected SD memory card to the replacement card. Back up your content to a computer or other storage device before sending the card in for a replacement.
