    • Beperkingen: enkel voor gebruik met in Europa verkochte Blu-ray-spelers. De verschillende modellen worden niet in alle landen verkocht.

    Systeemvereisten

    Uw firmware is mogelijk al bijgewerkt, zeker als u een nieuw Blu-ray-model hebt. Als het versienummer F01.R.0102 of hoger is, moet u de firmware niet updaten.

    In geval van twijfel kunt u gemakkelijk controleren welke firmwareversie u hebt:

    1. Turn on the Blu-ray player. If it starts to play a disc, press STOP and wait until you see the XrossMediaBar™ menu is displayed on the LCD panel before proceeding
    2. At the XrossMediaBarTM, highlight Setup > System Settings then select ENTER using the arrow keys on the remote control.
    3. Highlight System Information and select ENTER.
    4. On the LCD panel, the firmware version number looks like this:
      "Software Version F01.R.0076" - if the version number is F01.R.0102 or higher, you already have the most recent firmware version.

    Installeren

    Er zijn twee eenvoudige manieren om de firmware op uw Blu-ray-speler te updaten:

    1. Sony Home audio en video: firmware downloaden  

      Wij raden deze methode aan, omdat het de eenvoudigste manier is om de update uit te voeren. De update duurt gewoonlijk 15 tot 30 minuten. Stel eerst de apparatuur op en download vervolgens de update naar uw Blu-ray-speler via het internet.

      Wat u nodig hebt:

      • een Ethernet-kabel om uw Blu-ray-speler aan te sluiten op het internet
      • een actieve internetverbinding

      Hoe zorgt u dat de update vlot verloopt

      Updaten is meestal erg eenvoudig. Ga als volgt te werk om de update meteen juist uit te voeren:

      • Lees de instructies aandachtig om beschadigingen aan uw Blu-ray-speler te voorkomen.
      • Schakel de Blu-ray-speler niet uit - of ontkoppel hem niet van het stroomnet - tijdens de update.
      • Druk op geen enkele knop, tenzij dit wordt vermeld in de instructies.

      Stel de apparatuur op:

      1. Sluit de LAN-terminal van de Blu-ray-speler met een Ethernet-kabel aan op uw internetbron.
      2. Schakel de Blu-ray-speler in. (Als er een disc in de speler aanwezig is, verwijdert u deze.)

      Voer de update uit:

      1. At the XrossMediaBar TM, select Setup > Network Update using the arrow keys on the remote control and then select ENTER.
      2. The message Perform version update? is displayed on the LCD panel.
      3. Select OK using the remote control, and then press ENTER.
      4. The download process starts and you see the download screen on the LCD panel.
      5. During the download, you see the message */9"on the LCD panel. The * changes to 0 and goes up to 9 during the download process.
      6. After the download is complete, the update starts.
      7. You will see again the message "*/9"on the LCD panel. The * changes to 0 and goes up to 9 during the update process.
      8. When the green LED at the front of the main body turns off, the update is complete. The player automatically turns off -Don't use or turn off the player until the update is complete.
      9. Turn the player back on.
      10. Check the firmware version. If the version number is F01.R.0102, the firmware update was successful.

      Probleemoplossing

      Wat moet u doen als u problemen hebt met het updaten van de firmware van uw Blu-ray-speler via het internet.

      • The message "The batteries are insufficiently charged. Charge the batteries and try again." is displayed in the LCD panel.
        Charge the batteries and try again.

      • The message "Connection status cannot be confirmed" shows on the LCD panel.
        The problem might be with the network connection.
        1. Check the LAN cable is connected.
        2. In the network settings, check you have confirmed whether or not your Blu-ray player has its own IP address. (If you use a proxy server, type the IP address of the proxy you use – instead of the proxy host name – into the Proxy Server field.)
        3. Try the update again.

      • Tijdens de update is het toestel uitgeschakeld.
        Schakel de speler opnieuw in. Voer de update opnieuw uit.

      • De update is na meer dan 30 minuten nog niet voltooid.
        1. Verwijder de stekker uit het stopcontact en plaats hem na enkele minuten terug.
        2. Schakel de Blu-ray-speler in.
        3. Voer de update opnieuw uit.
